Intellectual Property Policy
This Intellectual Property Policy explains ownership and usage rights for content on the Servana platform, including Servana's own intellectual property and user-generated content.
1. Servana's Intellectual Property
The following are owned by Nortbitech Groups and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws:
- The "Servana" name, logo, and brand elements
- Website design, mobile app interface, and user experience
- Platform software, algorithms, and source code
- Marketing materials, documentation, and help content
- AI models and recommendation systems developed by Servana
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Servana's intellectual property without written permission from Nortbitech Groups.
2. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you create and upload to Servana, including:
- Product listings, descriptions, and images (vendors)
- Service descriptions and portfolio content (providers)
- Reviews, ratings, and comments (customers)
- Profile photos and store branding
- Chat messages and support communications
3. License Grant to Servana
By uploading content to the Platform, you grant Servana a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to:
- Display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the Platform
- Use your content in search results, recommendations, and promotional features
- Modify content format for technical display purposes (resizing images, etc.)
- Share content with delivery partners and payment processors as needed for transaction fulfillment
This license continues for content displayed on the Platform and terminates when you delete the content or your account, except where retention is required by law or for completed transaction records.
4. Your Representations
By uploading content, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the content or have the necessary rights and licenses to use it
- Your content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights
- Your content complies with our Acceptable Use Policy
- Product images accurately represent the actual products being sold
5. Trademark Usage
Vendors may reference brand names of products they legitimately sell (e.g., "Samsung Galaxy phone"). However, you may not:
- Use Servana's trademarks in your store name or branding without permission
- Imply endorsement or partnership with Servana or any brand without authorization
- Use another company's trademark in a way that causes consumer confusion
- Register domain names or social media accounts containing Servana trademarks
6. Reporting Infringement
If you believe content on Servana infringes your intellectual property rights, submit a notice to legal@servana.ng including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work or trademark
- URL or description of the infringing content on Servana
- Your contact information
- A statement of good faith belief that use is unauthorized
- A statement that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act
- Your physical or electronic signature

7. Counter-Notification
If your content was removed due to an infringement claim and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notification to legal@servana.ng with evidence of your right to use the content. We will review and may restore the content if the counter-notification is valid.
8. Repeat Infringers
Accounts with repeated intellectual property violations will be permanently terminated.
