Service Provider Terms
These Service Provider Terms apply to professionals and businesses who offer services on Servana, including home repairs, technicians, cleaning, plumbing, electrical work, and other skilled trades. Healthcare providers (doctors) are subject to additional professional licensing requirements.
1. Independent Contractor Status
Service providers on Servana are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of Servana or Nortbitech Groups. You control how, when, and where you perform services. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, tools, and professional licenses.
2. Registration & Verification
To offer services on Servana, you must:
- Complete provider profile with accurate skills, service areas, and pricing
- Pass KYC verification (identity documents, proof of address)
- Submit valid professional credentials, trade licenses, or certifications where applicable
- Provide a verified bank account for payouts
- Undergo background checks for in-home service categories
Healthcare providers must additionally provide valid medical council registration and practicing license.
3. Service Listings & Pricing
Providers set their own service descriptions, hourly or fixed rates, and service areas (cities/neighborhoods). Listings must accurately represent:
- Services offered and skill level
- Pricing structure (fixed price, hourly, or quote-based)
- Estimated duration and any materials included or excluded
- Travel fees or minimum booking charges
4. Availability & Calendar Management
Providers must maintain an accurate availability calendar in the provider dashboard. Available time slots are visible to customers for booking. You are responsible for:
- Updating your calendar when unavailable
- Accepting or declining booking requests within the response window
- Arriving on time for confirmed appointments
- Notifying customers promptly of any delays or need to reschedule
5. Bookings & Confirmations
A booking becomes binding when you accept a customer's request and payment is confirmed. See our Booking Policy and Cancellation Policy for details on:
- Payment requirements (upfront or upon completion)
- Cancellation fees for late cancellations or no-shows
- Rescheduling rules and customer notification requirements
6. Service Delivery Standards
Providers must:
- Perform services with reasonable skill and care consistent with industry standards
- Use safe practices and comply with applicable health, safety, and building codes
- Treat customers and their property with respect
- Complete work within the agreed scope; obtain approval for additional charges
- Mark bookings as completed in the app upon finishing work
7. Commission & Payouts
Servana charges a service commission on completed bookings, disclosed during onboarding. Payouts are processed to your verified bank account after booking completion and any dispute window, minus commission and applicable fees.
8. Insurance & Liability
Providers are strongly encouraged to maintain professional liability and general insurance. Servana is not liable for injuries, property damage, or disputes arising from your service delivery. You agree to indemnify Servana against claims resulting from your negligence or misconduct.
9. Customer Communication
All customer communication regarding bookings should occur through Servana's in-app messaging for safety and dispute resolution. Do not share personal contact details to circumvent platform fees. Respond to customer messages within 24 hours.
10. Reviews & Ratings
Customers may rate your services after completion. Maintain a high standard of service to earn positive reviews. Do not solicit fake reviews or retaliate against negative feedback.
11. Prohibited Conduct
Providers may not: perform unlicensed regulated work, misrepresent qualifications, overcharge beyond agreed quotes, harass customers, or offer services outside approved categories without verification.
12. Account Suspension
Servana may suspend providers for: expired licenses, safety complaints, repeated cancellations, fraud, or ratings below platform thresholds. Pending payouts for completed work will still be processed.
