Marketplace Terms
These Marketplace Terms govern the buying and selling of physical and digital products on the Servana platform. They apply to all customers who purchase products and all vendors who list products for sale. These terms supplement our Terms of Service.
1. Marketplace Overview
Servana operates a multi-vendor marketplace where independent sellers ("Vendors") list products across categories including groceries, electronics, fashion, home & garden, health & beauty, baby products, and more. Customers ("Buyers") browse, add items to cart, and checkout — including multi-vendor orders in a single transaction where supported.
2. Servana's Role
Servana provides the technology platform, payment processing, order management, and delivery coordination. Unless a product is explicitly sold by Servana, we are an intermediary — not the seller. The contract of sale is between the Buyer and the Vendor. Servana may hold funds in escrow until delivery is confirmed or the return window expires.
3. Product Listings
Vendors must provide accurate, complete, and current product information including:
- Product title, description, specifications, and high-quality images
- Accurate pricing in Nigerian Naira (NGN), including any taxes or fees
- Stock availability and estimated handling time
- Condition (new, used, refurbished) and warranty information where applicable
- Return eligibility and any category-specific restrictions
Misleading listings, counterfeit goods, and prohibited items will be removed. Repeat violations result in store suspension.
4. Ordering Process
- Buyer selects products and adds them to cart
- Buyer chooses delivery address, payment method, and applies promotions or loyalty points
- Buyer submits order and payment is authorized
- Vendor receives order notification and accepts or rejects within the stated timeframe
- Upon acceptance, Vendor prepares and dispatches the order for delivery or pickup
- Buyer receives delivery and may confirm receipt; funds are released to Vendor per payout schedule
5. Pricing & Promotions
Prices are set by Vendors. Servana may feature flash sales, bulk discounts, group buying offers, and platform-wide promotions. Promotional prices are valid for the stated period and subject to stock availability. Servana reserves the right to cancel orders affected by obvious pricing errors.
6. Payment & Escrow
Buyers pay via card, bank transfer, USSD, mobile money, Servana Wallet, or cash on delivery (where available). Payment is collected by Servana or its licensed payment partners. Vendor payouts are processed after order completion, minus applicable commission and fees, to verified bank accounts.
7. Delivery
Delivery may be fulfilled by Servana delivery partners, third-party couriers, or Vendor's own logistics depending on the product and location. Delivery fees are calculated based on distance, weight, and service level. See our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
8. Returns & Refunds
Buyers may return eligible items within the return window specified on the product page or in our Refund & Return Policy. Perishable goods, intimate apparel, custom-made items, and digital downloads are generally non-returnable. Refunds are issued to the original payment method or Servana Wallet.
9. Reviews & Ratings
Buyers may rate products and vendors after confirmed delivery. Reviews must be honest and based on actual experience. Vendors may not solicit fake reviews or offer incentives for positive ratings.
10. Prohibited Products
The following may not be sold on Servana: counterfeit goods, illegal drugs, weapons, stolen property, hazardous materials without proper licensing, adult content, and any item prohibited under Nigerian law. See our Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Disputes Between Buyers & Vendors
Disputes regarding product quality, non-delivery, or misrepresentation should be raised through the in-app dispute center within 7 days of delivery. Servana will mediate per our Complaint Resolution Policy.
12. Vendor Obligations
Vendors must comply with our Vendor Terms, complete KYC verification, maintain adequate inventory, honor stated return policies, and comply with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA).
